The Barony of Southdowns would like to invite YOU to join us at Red Tower this year to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary in the SCA!
This is a special extended camping event, starting on Thursday, October 3rd, so plan for an extra day (Friday) of activities in the celebration !
In that spirit, the theme for the event is,”Forward into the Past” which will highlight the Barony’s part in Meridies history.
PLEASE NOTE: This site is a primitive site, and has no onsite power or potable water. Please plan to bring your own drinking water, and if you plan to camp and need power, bring a battery-supplied power source. Please contact the event stewards if you need additional information.
Here are a few of the activities we are planning:
A history of South Downs “Museum”
Evening open gaming and Bardic
A special performance pf the Commedia play “The 50th Suitor” (which was originally performed at the SCA 50th year celebration event)
And we can’t forget about the FOOD!
For Saturday, come sup with us as the newest Meridian Grand Chef, Master Thomas Paumer and THL Bram Halfdannarson (who placed third at Known World BBQ Championship and is the Owner of Valiant Pig barbeque co.) will join forces and craft our feast fit for a Baronial celebration!
And on FRIDAY, There will be a special feast crafted by Lady Genovefa de Hareflot for up to 30 people, the planned theme will be in the taste of Frankish
