In addition to the Barony of South Downs, six other SCA chapters are located near Atlanta:

• The Shire of Owl’s Nest is located in Kennesaw and Marietta
• The Shire of Beaufort is located in Gainesville
• The Shire of Depedale is located in Douglasville
• The Shire of Talmere is located in Carrollton
• The Shire of Sol Haven is located in Conyers
• The Barony of Bryn Madoc is located in Athens

Other groups in Georgia, Alabama, Eastern Tennesse, and the Florida Panhandle are all part of the Kingdom of Meridies.
